Best media server for wireless devices like a PS3? - jackslammer - 01-23-2012

I use my PS3 for streaming and have used PS3 media server and TVersity since the default Microsoft media server is a joke and I prefer PS3 media server but are there any better alternatives?

I used the default windows media server. i wish i could stream mp4.

Abe the PS3 Media Server uses MPlayer and FFmpeg packages to transcode just about any content into a PS3 compatible MPEG2 video and AC3 audio stream. I was so dissapointed with my PS3 until I found this program. It does waste power using your PC's resources to transcode however.

hmm I did not know they added a media server to their program, I used to use Azureus years ago before switching to uTorrent. Hmmmm. They have a plus service with different tiers of features at a cost, WTF is this capitalist non-sense?

utorrent and vuze have adopted a plus service, neither effects the streaming to ps3
